Well, he came last week during Chinese New Year. I promised Azerul Slurpee the night before for head and back massage (yes, child labour is cheap). As expected, Azerul whispered about it to Adam the next day. Right away Si Buas came to me, wrapped his hands around my neck and said Kak Ngah, remember last time Adam said Adam don't like Kak Ngah? You know how my PMS changes every time. One month I'll be salivating all over food like a starving child entering McD. The other month I'll be blardy moody(well most of the months hehe). This time around aku jadi blur gila. Heartless. Tiada perasaan.

Blur yang bangun pagi pagi tak tahu nak start buat apa. Blur tahap rasa kucing dan budak budak tidak lagi comel. Blur tahap kalau kau buat lawak aku buat buat gelak untuk ambil hati. Blur tahap aku tiada point untuk berborak. Blur tahap kalau kau mengadu sedih sedih aku hanya mampu dengar tanpa calm you down sebab tak boleh nak selami perasaan kau dan get into the mood. Sampai jadi tak boleh bayangkan perasaan orang sebab diri sendiri tiada perasaan. Blur tahap kalau jumpa RM1234.90 tepi jalan aku mungkin pick it up and put it nicely in my purse and continue jalan tanpa rasa nak cakap hip hip hooray(mungkin selepas beberapa ketika rasa bersalah dan surrender duit pada Pak Gad). Blur tahap kalau Ashton Kutcher datang melamar I might just say no honey, go back to your janda. Blur tahap aku tak tahu sentence yang aku baru tulis tu attempt nak melawak ke apa.

Tapi aku prefer PMS begini. Eventhough it comes with back pain. I dont mind coz I tolerate pain pretty well. At least tak rasa nak marah sebab benda kecil seperti rasa nak minum minuman berais tapi pergi ke ice box dan tengok ais kiub dah habis. Sumpah rasa nak nangis. Bodoh.

I just have to record this. Kali pertama berlaku sepanjang dua belas tahun sejarah berovulasi.

Told ya I'm gonna write about this!

Kali terakhir aku beli buku dan baca bersungguh sungguh hingga habis probably empat tahun lepas. The Alchemist yang aku habiskan dalam masa tiga hari. Lepas tu adalah aku baca Memoir Seorang Geisha (ya, versi Melayu) yang aku jumpa di rumah. Siang malam juga aku baca tetapi tidak khatam. Lepas itu tiada. Nada. Nil. Aku hanya rajin baca blog dan magazine. Sangat rajin in fact.

Sejak semester baru bermula, tiba tiba feel membaca datang semula. Aku almost pergi bookstore untuk beli Eat, Pray, Love. Tapi semasa packing terjumpa buku tu ada dalam store rupanya. Sudah selamat sikit duit di situ. Jadi for the past three weeks, I've been reading this. Slowly, dalam dua tiga page sehari. Hari ini pinjam Mencari Jalan Pulang.

Now I need bookmarks. Habit aku suka guna kertas tester perfume sebagai bookmark. Ala yang selalunya sekeping kertas nipis warna putih tu. Aku ada dua keping dari Escada bentuk butterfly yang aku sayang gila tapi tinggal kat rumah pulak. Sekarang aku guna voucher Parkson untuk Eat, Pray, Love dan membercard ToysR'Us untuk Mencari Jalan Pulang.

Ok tu je nak cerita. Bye.

I've been thinking the answer to this question over the week. I even posted it on someone's Formspring, but I wasn't really satisfied with the answer. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I feel the world is being unfair to me, no. I'm pretty contented with my life at the moment. It's just a question that I don't know how to answer.

So this evening I borrowed a book(I was looking for Coelho's) from IRC. Just to mention, I started reading again (will write on this on the very next post). And there it was on page 16:

Quran dengan jelas menyatakan bahawa tiap perkara yang baik itu berasal daripada Tuhan (ini sangat munasabah kerana Tuhan itu Kebaikan dan mustahil akan menciptakan kejahatan), manakala yang jahat itu akibat perbuatan manusia. Aku memang ada rasa berbulu pada orang yang English tak seberapa tapi bila tulis blog, publish status, SMS, bergaduh pom pang pom pang nak cakap English. Cakap je lah Bahasa Melayu, bukannya tak sampai maksud. Kau rasa tak standard ke bila guna Bahasa Melayu? Kau rasa superior ke bila marah marah dalam English? Kau rasa Amerika sangat ke kalau speaking? (walaupun berterabur haram)

Bila aku tulis macam ni pasti ada yang akan kata memang lah kau cakap macam tu sebab English kau tak power. Ya memang English aku tak power jadi aku menulis dalam bahasa yang aku power. Kau pon rojak jugak bukannya guna Bahasa Melayu tepat dengan nahunya. Memang lah gila, ini bahasa pasar bukannya aku mengarang esei SPM. Kenyataannya, aku memang suka cakap Melayu. Dengan kawan kawan bukan Melayu pon aku cakap Melayu. Lain lah depa memang tak paham bahasa Melayu aku usahakanlah gunakan bahasa universal.

Banyak bezanya antara kau nak berlatih penggunaan bahasa Inggeris dengan kau nak tunjuk terrel guna bahasa Inggeris.

Lepas tu tak habis habis that's mean that's mean. That means lah bodoh.

Bayangkan kau di dalam kasut aku. Kau ada class 8am dan sekarang sudah 715am. Kau sudah mandi tetapi masih perlu buat perkara perkara ini:

a. Get dressed
b. Prepare breakfast(bancuh Nescafe untuk dicicah dengan Jacob's je pon) dan makan breakfast(sebab class sampai 11am maka kebuluran semasa menimba ilmu adalah pasti)
c. Blow rambut
d. Print out lecture notes
e. Mekap ala kadar sekadar muka tak nampak basi sangat

Kalau kau tanya habis tu buat apa shampoo rambut pagi pagi kalau tahu kesuntukan masa, jawapannya ialah aku tak boleh stand rambut yang tak dibasuh dan berbau walaupun satu decibel(umpamakanlah decibel itu unit bagi bau). Sebab semalam aku tak basuh rambut kerana kalau boleh hanya mahu cuci rambut selang sehari and my hair wasn't that oily before I went to bed. Itu pun dah dikira exception kerana masa tidak mengizinkan maka aku skip conditioner.

First thing first, 45 minit termasuk masa berjalan ke kelas bukanlah masa yang panjang untuk aku buat lima perkara itu. a,b dan e adalah routine activities so memang tak boleh skip. Sekarang perlu memilih sama ada c atau d. Yang mana satu perlu dikorbankan. Cuba para pembaca teka yang mana satu penulis dahulukan? Teka lah teka lah :)

Yeah disebabkan penulis ialah seorang yang obses dengan rambut, penulis dengan gigihnya blow rambut sesudah dress up. Walaupun tak suka mengenakan heat pada rambut, memakai tudung dengan rambut lembap adalah lebih unacceptable. Nanti rambut berbuah tau kalau terperap lama-lama. Class kan sampai 11am kan dah cakap kat atas tadi.

Dan disebabkan masa mengizinkan, lecture note berjaya diprint dengan kalut ribut. Namun point di sini ialah, aku lebih sanggup tidak ada lecture note semasa lecturer mengajar daripada duduk di dalam kelas sambil otak memikirkan rambut yang mengelilinginya masih lembab dan terperap. Aku juga tidak boleh kalau tak basuh rambut sebelum ke kelas sebab pasti akan gelisah memikirkan bau rambut akan jadi tiga empat decibel sesudah kelas.

Baikah itu sahaja cerita saya untuk hari ini. Di masa akan datang, saya akan berkongsi hair regime dan cara menangani musuh nombor satu iaitu SPLIT ENDS! Namun demikian, tidak pastilah masa akan datang tu bila. Sebab saya sekarang malas malas je nak hadap laptop.

Oh untuk rakan rakan yang mengenali diri ini, ai deactivate fesbuk untuk seketika. Ai nak melarikan diri dari hiruk pikuk dunia sosial sebentar(!!)

If you are at first lonely, be patient. If you’ve not been alone much, or if when you were, you weren’t okay with it, then just wait. You’ll find it’s fine to be alone once you’re embracing it. We can start with the acceptable places, the bathroom, the coffee shop, the library, where you can stall and read the paper, where you can get your caffeine fix and sit and stay there. Where you can browse the stacks and smell the books; you’re not supposed to talk much anyway so it’s safe there. There is also the gym, if you’re shy, you can hang out with yourself and mirrors, you can put headphones in. Then there’s public transportation, because we all gotta go places. And there’s prayer and mediation, no one will think less if your hanging with your breath seeking peace and salvation. Start simple. Things you may have previously avoided based on your avoid being alone principles. The lunch counter, where you will be surrounded by chow downers, employees who only have an hour and their spouses work across town, and they, like you, will be alone. Resist the urge to hang out with your cell phone. When you are comfortable with “eat lunch and run”, take yourself out for dinner; a restaurant with linen and Silverware. You’re no less an intriguing a person when you are eating solo desert and cleaning the whip cream from the dish with your finger. In fact, some people at full tables will wish they were where you were. Go to the movies. Where it’s dark and soothing, alone in your seat amidst a fleeting community. And then take yourself out dancing, to a club where no one knows you, stand on the outside of the floor until the lights convince you more and more and the music shows you. Dance like no one’s watching because they’re probably not. And if they are, assume it is with best human intentions. The way bodies move genuinely to beats, is after-all, gorgeous and affecting. Dance until you’re sweating. And beads of perspiration remind you of life’s best things. Down your back, like a book of blessings. Go to the woods alone, and the trees and squirrels will watch for you. Go to an unfamiliar city, roam the streets, they are always statues to talk to, and benches made for sitting gives strangers a shared existence if only for a minute, and these moments can be so uplifting and the conversation you get in by sitting alone on benches, might of never happened had you not been there by yourself.

Society is afraid of alone though. Like lonely hearts are wasting away in basements. Like people must have problems if after awhile nobody is dating them. But lonely is a freedom that breathes easy and weightless, and lonely is healing if you make it. You can stand swathed by groups and mobs or hands with your partner, look both further and farther in the endless quest for company. But no one is in your head. And by the time you translate your thoughts an essence of them maybe lost or perhaps it is just kept. Perhaps in the interest of loving oneself, perhaps all those sappy slogans from pre-school over to high school groaning, we’re tokens for holding the lonely at bay. Cause if you’re happy in your head, then solitude is blessed, and alone is okay. It’s okay if no one believes like you, all experiences unique, no one has the same synapses, can’t think like you, for this be relived, keeps things interesting, life’s magic things in reach, and it doesn’t mean you aren’t connected, and the community is not present, just take the perspective you get from being one person in one head and feel the effects of it. Take silence and respect it. If you have an art that needs a practice, stop neglecting it, if your family doesn’t get you or a religious sect is not meant for you, don’t obsess about it. You could be in an instant surrounded if you need it. If your heart is bleeding, make the best of it. There is heat in freezing, be a testament.

I'm happy with my hair right now. Will be super happy if it is 2 inches longer. You remember my hair cut from last time. So I cut it again two weeks later because I cannot stand the love-hate relationship. I was so determined to cut it short. Bob short. Nicole Richie's bob. The haircut I've always loved. But turned out the layer from the previous cut was tad too short. So the hairdresser advised me to grow my hair a little more if I wanna go for the bob. She did gave a slight trim because the previous haircut was not symmetrical! Pffftt!!

So what's past is passed. Keadaan kini sangat memuaskan di mana kalau aku ini free hair, sekarang ialah masa yang hebat untuk mengibarkan rambut di khalayak manusia. Namun disebabkan tak free hair, hanya boleh mengibarkan rambut di depan kipas di dalam bilik dan pretend sedang memandu pada kelajuan 110km/h dengan tingkap kereta terbuka luas =.="

The thing I wanna share with you is, I bought a hair product I'm soooo terribly in love with. It's Essential Oil slash hair vitamin from JS. There was a week where I was kinda busy and keep having late night showers where I was too tired to condition my hair. I just washed it with shampoo and applied two pumps of this vitamin when hair is damped. My hair didn't dry up as it should be if I skipped conditioner. So this is holy grail at the moment.

I won't say it's the best to tame frizz because it doesn't. It works for me by making my hair feels really soft and easy to manage. Not to forget, it smells awwh so awesome! Smells a bit like Rockin' Rio. I can't really say it works for split ends or not because I'm seeing couple of splits this week. However, they might be from the love-hate haircut. So, we'll see.

The other thing I like about this product is the size. It's small so you can throw it in your purse and bring it with you everywhere. I also like that is comes with cap because last time I had a hair serum, I had to pump the product out first to lock it which was leceh.

Anyway, I just checked their website here and the retail price is RM42. I got mine for RM18. The lady did mention they were having promotion tho.

Might drop basic hair tips as well. NEVER TOWEL-DRY YOU HAIR. Your hair is at it's weakest when it's wet you should know this. What I do is, I'll wrap my hair with towel for 5 minutes or so, then let it dry by itself. Or air-dry it in front of hi-speed fan. DO NOT BLOW DRY. I will only blow dry if I need to go out and my hair is really wet (and at hair salon of course. Can't resist hair looking like mahu pergi ke majlis, bukan?) Heat is just bad for hair.

Anyways, have we met yet? If we have, I'm pretty sure we haven't realized we are meant for each other. If we haven't, you better hurry up. You are missing a lot of me, you know.

Since I can't talk about us because there is still no us, I'll just say my hopes and prayers. I pray to Allah to protect your aqidah, to keep you healthy, to guide you on the right path, to make you a good person so that you can guide me, to keep you out of harm(please don't loose any limbs, I'm sure they are pretty great), to lead you to me and to keep you away from perempuan perempuan gatal. I can't stand split ends. I'd go for hair trim once in about 2 months. Namun untuk mencari hairdresser yang mahir membuang hujung hujung rambut(dengan harga berpatutan) adalah payah! Pagi tadi, aku ke salun yang disyorkan oleh rakan. Potongan ok, harga ok, namun kakak itu memotong lebih dari seinci walhal aku dah khabarkan awal awal, Kak, jangan potong banyak tau saya nak simpan panjang. Agak kecewa lah juga kerana my hair growth rate adalah perlahan.

Rambut ialah issue besar buat gadis gadis. Take note. I repeat, take note. Jika gadis gadis kamu tak mementingkan penjagaan rambut, rambut dia tak cantik. Simple math.

Sekarang feveret gua tetap amoi comel Batang Kali. Cepat, cekap, mahir, RM11. Pakej lengkap.

My friends and I had an argument (not really, more of slight difference of opinion) today. Of how we in our work line right now are learning a lot of things but everything is in general. Well, maybe a little bit more than general. Somewhere between noob and expert, but the graph falls a little more on the noob side. We, in well intervention/services(interns, mind you) covered a lot on well completion, tool strings and intervention jobs. There are hundreds of tools and plenty of jobs we need to know. I should not elaborate more on this. Not really easy to picture if you are not in this line of study.

Some of our friends on the other hand, are having smaller job scope. For instance, our friends(interns too) in this particular company have become almost-experts on drilling mud. They go to the lab every day, run the mud test, study the mud property bla bla bla. Anything mud related is kinda on the tip of their fingers.

So the debate was, which one is better. To be an expert on a particular thing, or to know generally on a lot of things. I prefer the latter.

I gave an analogy. Let say you learn to cook nasi goreng. Everyday you cook nothing else but nasi goreng until you make the best nasi goreng some people ever tasted. You know the ingredients well, the perfect amount of heat, the balance of sweet and spiciness. But at the end of the day, the job offered to you is to cook mee goreng(or nasi lemak or something. I just hentam). We on the other hand learn to cook every goreng-goreng recipes available. We don't master a dish, but later when the job offered is to cook anything goreng-goreng, we have the basic knowledge to do so, right? At least we are familiar with them, right?

Cuma nak cakap, I think my analogy is brilliant *flips hair*

So yeah traffic has been increasing in this space lately. I've been getting 20-40 visits per day and that's wayyyy higher than normal. Current average page visit is 34 per day! I got 6 new followers in less than one week. You see, I barely update this blog and as you can see from previous posts, they are really not much. I don't link anyone. I dont' leave comment. So getting this kind of traffic is another achievement. Yeah I can be that sad.

I've been meaning to cook butter chicken since too-long-i-cant-remember-anymore. Bought the butter last month but was not in the mood. Wanted to make it yesterday but didn't have enough ingredients. So today I made an achievement of life. I cooked butter chicken for dinner. Served it with butter rice and stir fry asparagus and broccoli.

Used this as reference but barely followed it, maybe just 40%. You see, I don't have skewer, muslin cloth, mustard oil, garam masala and a lot more things that's on the list. It says refrigerate for 3-4 hours, I did for 34 minutes.It says ginger-garlic paste, I make ginger-garlic-shallot paste(well I am Malaysian. We always use shallot). It says cook for 2 minutes, I cooked for as long as I want. I'm just not good at following orders.

Anyhowwwwww, the chicken turned out great! I almost shed tears(exaggerate). I was super excited I made all my housemates try it.

Watched Tron, bought a lovely top. At least I did something on January 1st compared to last year.
